I have submitted to MAME to get it updated to the version in my attached zips. I believe MAME has an incorrect dump of this ROM image. Note 2: ROM image 136007-115 does not match the current MAME ROMset (the other images match the MAME Atari Rev 1 ROMset). Note 1: PROMs are not included in these dumps. The label names, images and ROM types are exactly the same on both zips. I'm sure the 2nd & 3rd printings have info too, but I only looked at the 1st & 4th printings.įrom there, you can use the appropriate attached zip files for ROM label, type, location, image.ĭigdugat1o.zip is the older revision board (i.e., 1st printing of the manual/schematics)ĭisgudat1n.zip is the new revision board (i.e., 4th printing of the manual/schematics)Īll ROM images are for Dig Dug Namco Atari license revision 1 ROMset. To determine which revision of the board you have, compare your board to the 1st printing and the 4th printing.

Dig dug arrangement arcade rom manual#
There are 4 printings of the owner's manual and and schematics. Unfortunately neither the Atari owner's manual or schematics gives information on the ROM type either, only the locations. If you are using the current MAME ROMsets, the image names don't hold any information on the location or the ROM type. The ROM locations are drastically different for each revision of the PCB. There are two revisions of an Atari Dig Dug PCB. You're armed with your trusty pump, which you can use to inflate your enemies until, finally, they blow up. You are Dig Dug, an intrepid gardener whose soil is infested with pesky Pookas and fire-breathing Fygars. Posting this for assistance for anyone repairing an Atari Dig Dug PCB. Description of Dig Dug Dig Dug is a great PC port of Namco's coin-op classic of the same name, ported by Atari.
